Dr. Nivedita Yadav

Dr. Nivedita Yadav holds a PhD. in Bioinformatics with research focused on gene
expression profiling across diffrent developmental stages of Glycine max. She
completed her M.Tech in Bioinformatics, followed by a B.Tech in Biotechnology, She
also holds an Engineering Diploma in Information Technology.

Dr. Niveditaa Yadav is a Data Curator with expertise in managing high-throughput
biological datasets, metadata standardization, and FAIR-compliant data stewardship.
She has extensive experience working with genomics, transcriptomics, and
phenotypic data, ensuring quality, integrity, and interoperability across national
research submissions. Her work integrates computational analysis, data governance,
and user support, contributing to India’s growing ecosystem of open and well-
managed biological data.
Experienced in developing and refining metadata standards for diverse submission
portals, ensuring structured and FAIR-compliant annotations for genomics,
transcriptomics, phenotypic, and biodiversity datasets. Additionally skilled in
compiling and maintaining catalogues of biological tools and databases, and
performing large-scale transcriptomics data analysis using high-performance
computing platforms.
Her career goal is to integrate expertise in bioinformatics, data curation, and high-
performance computing to advance high-quality, FAIR-compliant biological data
management. She aims to develop innovative metadata standards, enhance
transcriptomics workflows, and contribute to national repositories that support large-
scale research. Alongside research, she aspire to train students and researchers in
reproducible bioinformatics practices, ethical data handling, and computational
analysis, fostering a scientifically responsible and data-driven research community.
