Author stated the following: At the current resolution filter and threshold, the core of the channel is well resolved and the model fits well the density of that region, but more external and lower resolution regions are more scattered and don't fit well with the model. Because our analysis focuses on the higher-resolution central region, we have chosen the 0.16 threshold most appropriate for this region.
