- Abstract: The endophytic bacterium was isolated from citrus plant leaves collected from fields of nearby Tezpur University campus, Assam. The 16S sequencing shows it belongs to genus Burkholderia. It shows strong antimicrobial activity against bacterial and fungal phytopathogens. It is a promising bacterium for biotechnological exploration for management of plant diseases of agriculturally important crops.
