Other Info
  • Abstract: It is an entophytic bacteria isolated from chilli plant from the nearby field of Tezpur University, Assam. It shows strong antifungal activity against diverse fungal pathogens including Venturia inaequalis (Apple scab), Alternaria alternata (leaf spot), and fungal pathogens of large cardamom. This bacterium can grow at diverse temperature range from 15 to 50 degree centigrade. In addition to the antifungal activity, this bacterium also exhibit plant growth promoting activity. These properties emphasize the potential application for the bacterium as biotechnological solutions for climate resilient agriculture.
