  • Abstract: Rhodotorula pacifica INDKK is an oleaginous red yeast that can accumulate lipids to more than 60 percent of its biomass and is capable of using C5 and C6 sugars present in waste hydrolysates. It also produces carotenoids, when cultivated under nitrogen-deficient conditions. This is the first report of genome sequence of R pacifica. The de novo assembly was carried out using MaSuRCA v4.0.3 resulted in 117 contigs scaffolds with total genome size of 33.6 Mb. The complete genome sequence of this strain was deposited in GenBank and the accession number is JBLUWB000000000.
