- Abstract: Tuberculosis caused by Mycobacterium bovis, a member of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex, is a zoonotic disease that significantly impacts public health. In this study, we performed whole genome sequencing of a clinical M. bovis isolate obtained from a 4-month-old male patient diagnosed with axillary lymphadenitis in Odisha, India. The isolate was taxonomically identified as Mycobacterium bovis belonging to Lineage La1. Genome analysis revealed that the isolate was susceptible to most first-line anti-TB drugs but showed resistance to the pyrazinamide drug, indicating the presence of potential genetic determinants associated with drug resistance.
