  • Title: Whole Genome Analysis of a Bacterial Isolate from the Gut Microbiota of C57BL6J Mice
  • Data Type : Whole Genome Sequencing
  • Descriptive Title: The gut microbiota significantly influences host immunity and metabolism. This study focuses on the whole genome analysis of a bacterial isolate from the gut microbiota of C57BL6J mice. High throughput sequencing was performed to uncover its genetic architecture, metabolic capabilities, and potential roles in host-microbiota interactions. Functional annotation identified genes associated with nutrient metabolism and antimicrobial resistance. Insights from this study enhance our understanding of the functional contributions of gut microbiota to host health and provide a basis for exploring its therapeutic potential.

  • Abstract: The gut microbiota plays a pivotal role in regulating host physiology, immunity, and metabolism. In this study, we performed whole genome analysis of a bacterial isolate obtained from the gut microbiota of C57BL6J mice to gain insights into its genetic composition and functional potential. The isolate was identified through 16S rRNA sequencing and further characterized using high throughput whole-genome sequencing on the Illumina platform, known for its accuracy and scalability in generating large volumes of high-quality sequencing data. Bioinformatics tools were employed to analyze gene content, predict metabolic pathways, and identify antimicrobial resistance genes. This study provides a comprehensive genomic perspective on a key gut microbial isolate, contributing to our understanding of host-microbiota interactions and laying the foundation for future investigations into its functional role in host health and disease.
