- Data Type : Whole Genome Sequencing
- Descriptive Title: Genome sequencing of indigenous milch breeds of cattle using Linked-Read Technology to assemble a high-quality contiguous genome assembly.
-
Organism:
Scientific Name(Taxon Id): Bos indicus (9915) Common Name: zebu cattle
Other Info
- Abstract: Genome sequencing was conducted on five indigenous cattle breeds, including Gir, Tharparkar, Kankrej, Sahiwal, and Red Sindhi, utilizing the 10X Chromium technology. Each genome was sequenced at an approximate coverage of 100X with 150bp paired-end reads. Supernova assembler-generated assemblies varied in size from 2.70 Gb to 2.77 Gb across different breeds.
