- Abstract: ChIP libraries were prepared and sequenced for H3K4me3, H3K27me3 and H3K9ac from the control and drought stressed Flag leaf and Inflorescence at heading stage of rice plants. The drought treatment was performed in rice fields where water supply was withheld at the booting stage and only the stressed tissues were collected for sample preparation. Both the varieties namely, N22 and IR64 were subjected to similar stress conditions. The libraries were prepared in-house and sequenced and subsequently analysed to find cultivar specific differences in the epigenetic signatures. Both the varieties showed slightly different responses to the drought stress with different coverage of each modification in each tissue. Hence, cultivar-specific and tissue-specific signatures were obtained under both control and drought conditions in this comparative genomic analysis.
