  • Title: CLAVATA signaling pathway genes modulates agronomic traits in chickpea
  • Data Type : Gene Regulation Study
  • Descriptive Title: The CLAVATA3 gene homolog in chickpea regulates the flowering time and flower number in chickpea. A haplotype of this gene enhances yield without compromising any other agronomic traits.
  • Organism:
Other Info
  • Abstract: Chickpea faces climatic adversity during its reproductive growth. One way to escape the stress condition is to initiate its reproductive cycle early. Integrated genomics approaches identified the CLAVATA3 gene homolog in chickpea, playing crucial role in flowering time regulation. CaCLV3 modulates flowering time through maintaining the shoot apical meristem morphometrics.
